Why I Made Nasal Reset

I have been meditating for the past 19 years. That practice has made me very aware of how it feels to breathe gently and without effort through the nose. When I settle down at night, I want that same sense of ease.

That experience is part of what brought me to nasal breathing. A blocked nose can become a constant distraction: something you work around during the day and notice again when everything else becomes quiet.

Why I started with mechanical support

NasalAid began with people who were still struggling with nasal airflow after trying different approaches. One problem we focused on was nasal valve collapse, where the sidewall can move inward as you breathe in.

I wanted a reusable device designed for ongoing use. Durability, adjustability, and support from inside the nose were central to that decision. The result was NasalAid: a nasal dilator that gently holds the nasal passages open to help air move through while it is worn.

The design question was practical. Could we make a support people could fit, clean, and use again, with materials made to last?

Why I added nasal cleansing

As we developed NasalAid, I became interested in the other part of nasal care: the surface the air moves over. Airflow support and cleansing serve different purposes, and I wanted both to have a place in a simple nighttime routine.

That led to the Nasal Reset Kit. It pairs our reusable dilator with a hypochlorous acid nasal cleansing spray. The spray cleanses and refreshes the nasal passages; the dilator provides mechanical support.

HOCl’s history in wound care and the published nasal studies made it an ingredient worth learning about. Our reason for including it in the kit is nasal cleansing. The studies are available in our HOCl research article for people who want to examine them directly.

A routine you can pay attention to

We introduced a 14-day routine to give people a consistent way to get familiar with fitting, use, and care. Fourteen days is a routine format, not a promise that a nasal condition will resolve in that time.

I want people to notice what comfortable nasal breathing feels like, understand what each product is doing, and have a reusable support they can work into everyday life. That is why I made Nasal Reset.
